MVP terms
MVP draft · Updated 18 October 2026
Prepared for the invitation-only demonstration. Real client records require an approved production environment and an agreed firm data-processing arrangement.
Who provides Acren
Acren is a business name registered in Ireland (CRO no. 792957) by Diarmuid Peter Smithwick O Brien, trading as a sole trader at The Old Rectory, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny.

Invitation-only access and agreed fees
Acren is an early practice-management service for agricultural consultancy businesses and their authorised advisors. Access is by invitation from Acren or your firm owner. You must be authorised to use the service for your firm.
Access, fees, payment dates and the duration of your MVP arrangement are governed by your firm’s early agreement with Diarmuid. Acren does not currently collect payments inside the app or provide a self-service checkout. That does not mean the service is free. Any additional AI processing charge or change to agreed fees requires the agreement specified in your firm’s arrangement before it applies.
Your firm and its information
Your firm keeps its rights in the information it supplies. You permit Acren and its authorised service providers to process that information only to provide, secure and support the service, subject to the applicable data processing agreement.
The firm is responsible for having a lawful basis to supply personal data, giving required notices to clients, maintaining accurate records and controlling advisor access. Do not upload information you are not authorised to use, unnecessary sensitive personal data, passwords or access credentials.
The current demonstration environment is for fictional data only. Real client data requires an explicitly approved environment and an agreed data processing arrangement with the firm.
Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your login details private, use your own account and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. Firm owners are responsible for invitations and removing advisors who should no longer have access.
Account invitations, verification codes and password-reset links are sent to the account email address. Use an inbox you control. Acren manages supplied mock accounts; contact Diarmuid for help with those accounts.
Do not attempt to access another firm’s records, bypass access controls, upload malicious files, disrupt the service or use Acren unlawfully. We may restrict access to investigate misuse or protect the service and its users.
Imports and AI assistance
Import reading may automatically suggest client details. AI can make mistakes, omit information or misread identifiers. Review the preview and warnings against the original file before confirming an import. Your confirmation creates the selected clients in your firm; existing clients are not overwritten by this import flow.
Useful unmatched details can be included as Other information in client notes. Check that they are relevant and appropriate before saving. Unknown advisor emails fall back to the importing advisor with a warning. Undo archives eligible clients and preserves audit history; it is not permanent erasure.
AI features may be unavailable or limited by the MVP processing allowance. The Privacy Notice describes the proposed processing arrangements. We do not use firm client records to train our own AI models.
Availability and professional decisions
The MVP may contain defects, change or be interrupted. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, authoritative scheme guidance, your own deadlines or independent copies of essential records. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every file format will be readable.
Acren is not providing agricultural, legal, tax or regulatory advice. Advisors remain responsible for their professional decisions and the records they confirm.
Ending access and obtaining your records
You or your firm owner can contact us to arrange ending access and obtaining the firm’s records. The agreed data processing arrangement governs return and deletion of client data. Removing an advisor or archiving a client does not permanently delete all associated records.
If we end the MVP, we will aim to give reasonable notice and a practical opportunity to obtain records, except where an urgent security or legal obligation prevents this.
Responsibility and disputes
Each party remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or limits anyone’s statutory data protection rights.
Contact us first so that we can try to resolve a problem. The intended governing law is Irish law for business use, subject to mandatory legal protections and the right to complain to a competent regulator. Your firm’s early agreement with Diarmuid takes precedence for agreed fees, payment, access and duration, and for any expressly agreed variation of these MVP terms. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
Changes
We may revise these MVP terms. Material changes will be brought to the firm’s attention before they take effect. A dated web page alone is not evidence that a firm has agreed to a new contract.
